Hi Michael, I've enjoyed your articles on the Klondike Goldrush. I live in Homer, Alaska and am working on a creative non-fiction story, based on my husband's grandfather's story. He mined on Bonanza Bench in 1897, 1898, was a purser for NATTCo., and banked. I will be coaching for Arctic Winter Games in March (snowshoe biathlon) and wonder if we might meet? I am trying to add 'stories' and 'tales' to add seasoning to the book of what 1897-1900 was like for people 'outside.' Do you have any information on what the prostitutes did about pregnancy or a source I might pursue? Thank you for any assistance you might be able to provide.
I hope to hear from you, Janice Todd
